5 secrets to glowing skin

Having flawless and glowing skin is somewhat like the quest for the holy grail. Everyone is trying to hunt it down, but it may turn out to be a myth. At least, that’s how I feel about it. Seriously, I’ve tried it all. From my grandmother’s tips and tricks to the fanciest cleanser and moisturizer money can buy. And did it help? Nope. My skin is still dry, sensitive and prone to breakouts.

If your skin is anything like mine; you may want to try to take a different approach. Don’t rely on your skincare routine and layers of makeup to give you flawless and glowing skin. Try to take care of your skin by living a healthy lifestyle. I promise you’ll be amazed by the results after some time.

Less is more
Keep your skincare routine as simple as possible. Use a cleanser, moisturizer, and sunscreen, and leave everything else. Bombarding your skin with products when you have a breakout may not be the best idea. It clogs your pores and leaves your skin irritated.

Sleeping Beauty
Sleep is seriously underestimated when it comes to flawless and glowing skin. Don’t fall into that trap! Try to get at least 7 hours of sleep every night. Enough sleep will help your skin to recover from the day, restore hydration balance, and even slow down the aging process!

Antioxidants to the rescue
Essentially, antioxidants protect your cells against damage from outside. You can find antioxidants in fruit and vegetables. Especially blueberries are powerhouses when it comes to antioxidants! Try this blueberry smoothie in the morning to help your skin glow throughout the day.

Get sweaty
While sweat is probably not to the first thing that comes to your mind when we’re talking about glowing skin, it’s vital to exercise regularly if a glowing skin is your ultimate goal. Exercising increases your blood flow, which in turn will provide enough oxygen to the skin and help to eliminate waste.

And last but certainly not least; drink water! Hydration is the key to flawless and glowing skin.
